Happy Birthday, Daina!

This is a special day to me and Del, because today we celebrate the birthday of our precious daughter, Daina!  Admittedly, she has been the child who has tested us the most, both as a little girl, and sometimes even as an adult.  But, nevertheless, she holds a special place in our hearts.  There are no two Dainas in the world, only one.
One special memory I have of Daina is when she came to the hospital to visit right after her baby sister was born.  She asked me, "You're still my mom, right?"  It made me cry to think she would think we were replacing her!  Then, a few months later, when Daina asked Jesus to come into her heart, she prayed and asked him to come into her baby sister's heart, as well.
I know, my dear daughter, that God has good things in store for you!  You have a tender heart,  a strong personality, and somehow with Him, you will find the strength you need to accomplish his purpose for your life!

"A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, until he sends forth judgement unto victory." Mt. 12:20

From your daddy:  Many times we have sat and talked to each other.  Sometimes we cried and sometimes we laughed.  Those are precious times to me.  You have meant a lot to me, and I have meant a lot to you!  You are still my little "A, B, C  girl."
